About Etto

Etto develops and manufactures cycling and skiing helmets and is one of Scandinavia’s leading brands in this field.

Etto has developed a portfolio of helmets to fully cover the training and professional requirements of both adults and children by constantly focusing on safety, quality, functionality and design. Etto has its own factory and test laboratory in China. All Etto helmets have been tested and certified by an approved test institute in compliance with the following European standards: EN1077, EN1078 and EN1080.

History

The Etto brand was first established in Sweden at the beginning of the 1980s and became incorporated into the Norwegian HTS Group in 1995. Etto was the leading developer of cycling helmets at the beginning of the 1980s in the days when helmets were first introduced to the sport of cycling. Most people will be familiar with the Etto models which were sold and distributed throughout the world during this period. During the 1990s Etto also started developing alpine helmets. In 1995 Etto was incorporated into the Norwegian company HTS Hans Torgersen & Sønn AS. Today Etto is a market leader on the Norwegian market and one of the largest suppliers of cycling and leisure helmets in Scandinavia.

Etto is a part of the HTS Group

Etto is a part of the HTS Group, which also owns a number of other well known brands such as BeSafeVoksi, HamaxSwisseye and Packline. The company was founded in 1919 and has long traditions in Norwegian and international trade and industry. The head office of the HTS Group is currently located in Krøderen in Norway. Etto’s products currently feature in the portfolio of branded sports and leisure goods of Hamax AS. Hamax AS distributes its products to a number of different countries throughout the world. Hamax AS is located in Moss.
